Essential Eight Guided Self-Assessment goes live (pilot)
We've launched the first version of our Essential Eight Guided Self-Assessment to pilot customers — a structured, plain-English way to measure your organisation against Australia's leading cyber security baseline.
What's new
A guided assessment, start to finish. The tool walks you through assessing your organisation against the Australian Cyber Security Centre's Essential Eight at Maturity Level 1:
- Define what's in scope — your business units, locations, and systems
- Work through each control with clear, jargon-free prompts
- Record your findings and attach supporting evidence
- Raise exceptions where you take an alternative approach
- Run a readiness check, sign off, and produce a shareable report
Written for everyone. You don't need a security background — each step explains what's being asked and why it matters.
Coming soon
This first release is available to pilot customers as we refine the experience. We'll announce here as access opens up more widely.
Why it matters
For many small and medium organisations, "are we doing the right things on cyber security?" is a hard question to answer. The Guided Self-Assessment turns the Essential Eight into a clear, step-by-step process — and gives you a report you can share with leadership, clients, or partners.
