Authorised Scanning & Lawful Use Consent

Effective date: 01 January 2026

By creating an account or using the Biz Secure Online service (“Service”), you (“Customer”, “You”) acknowledge, agree, and consent to the following:

1. Authority to Scan

You confirm and warrant that:

• You own, control, or are expressly authorised to act on behalf of the owner or administrator of all domains, websites, systems, IP addresses, and digital assets that you configure for scanning within Biz Secure Online.
• Any authorisation you rely on is lawful, current, and valid for the duration of your use of the Service.
• You will promptly remove any asset from the Service if your authority to scan it ceases or is disputed.

2. Consent to Security Scanning

You expressly consent to Biz Secure Online performing automated security testing, which may include (but is not limited to):

• Vulnerability detection
• Misconfiguration analysis
• Public‑facing security checks
• Metadata, header, and endpoint analysis

You acknowledge that scanning activity may generate log entries, alerts, or traffic visible to third parties and that Biz Secure Online does not guarantee detection of all vulnerabilities.

3. Lawful Use Only

You agree that you will not use the Service for any purpose that is illegal, unauthorised, or malicious, including activities prohibited under Australian law such as the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth) or applicable State and Territory legislation.

4. Responsibility and Indemnity

You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for ensuring lawful authority to scan all configured assets and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Biz Secure Online from claims arising from misuse or unlawful scanning.

5. Suspension and Termination

Biz Secure Online may suspend or terminate access where unlawful or unauthorised use is reasonably suspected and may cooperate with law enforcement where required.

6. Acknowledgement

By proceeding, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this consent. You confirm that you are authorised to scan the configured assets and agree to lawful use of the Biz Secure Online service.
